Projects we have supported
This section showcases some of the many hundreds of projects we have supported over the past decade.
Projects are grouped broadly into four categories:
- Buildings focus on built community facilities and amenities
- Spaces focus on public spaces, landscaping, play areas, parks and community gardens
- Homes focus on housing design
- Neighbourhoods focus on neighbourhood design and renewal
The Young People filter will help you find projects in which young people have played an active role.
The Eco filter will help you find projects with a particular focus on environmental sustainability.
Looking Back, Looking Forward
In 2009 we brought together 12 community groups who had attended Design Training courses since 2002, to capture the impact of our support and of a collaborative approach to placemaking on local people. The stories in the booklet demonstrate that a commitment to working collaboratively with local authorities, housing associations, developers, businesses, schools, local organisations and local people, focuses not on what is wrong, but what is possible, with real value and benefit for all.
