All of our support around neighbourhood projects is aimed at developing an area / neighbourhood that
- feels welcoming
- works for those who use, manage and maintain it
- is economically, socially and environmentally sustainable in the long term
The Glass-House offers a range of support for your project, both through scheduled training and events around the country and through tailored support delivered in your neighbourhood.

Design TrainingOur two-day Neighbourhoods by Design courses give community groups the design skills, knowledge and confidence to contribute effectively to developing a neighbourhood plan. Attending groups develop their existing project through creative hands-on workshops and have the chance to visit inspiring neighbourhoods. |

WorkshopsOur tailored Workshops give you tools, skills and confidence to work effectively with design professionals, the wider community and other stakeholders to develop your neighbourhood plan. Workshops help you to: understand urban design principles (which can also be applied to a rural context); explore the planning system and how it can support your project; or how to engage the community in your neighbourhood plan. |
