Who is it for?
Study tours are for community groups (1-3 representatives) who are involved in the early stages of a local regeneration project, and would like to learn more about the design of community buildings or open spaces.
The tours will help you to develop design ideas for your project, and see and hear first hand about what works and what doesn’t. Groups who attend a study tour may also access further project support from the Glass-House.
How does my group get on a study tour?
Glass-House study tours are free to community groups, but places are limited. If your group is interested in attending a study tour please read the application information before filling out the application form. Suitable groups will be selected on a first come first served basis, please see selection criteria below. To secure a place you will need to send a £50 deposit for each group which is returnable on attendance.
Selection Criteria
The group should:
have a commitment to a community led design process
have a commitment to engaging with a wide community of users
be at an early stage in project planning, so that they will benefit from the course input
