What is Glass-House Design Training?
We offer FREE project based design training courses for community groups working on regeneration projects that include:
open spaces and play areas
housing and community buildings
What happens?
Over 2 intensive days, the courses aim to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to take informed, positive action in your community and deliver real sustainable change. By the end of a course you will have worked creatively on your project, and with the help of our professional design facilitators, you will have progressed design ideas and action plans to take your project forward.
This training is programmed on set dates throughout the year. Please see below for details, or alternatively, can be provided for groups locally as part of The Glass-House Project Support Package.

Who is it for?
The courses are for:
tenants
residents
community group members
who are currently working on a particular regeneration project
4 groups are taken per course, with 3 – 5 members representing each group. At the group's request we can also offer a free place to one paid professional associated with the project per group (eg. a youth worker). The learning can be taken back to the rest of the group and passed on. Frequently, groups that attend the Design Training follow up with a request for bespoke Project Support .
