Are you working on a project to redevelop a housing area or create new homes? We can help you develop a great place to live that is well connected to the community in which it sits.
The Glass-House helps those working to redevelop a housing area of any scale. We support your collaboration with tenants, residents and local people and with design teams to ensure that you develop a delightful place to live that is easily managed and maintained and that brings benefit to the community.
We also work with those working on new housing developments to help ensure that the homes connect well with the surrounding area, are welcomed by local people and meet the needs of the future residents and scheme managers.
The Glass-House offers a range of support for your project, both through training and events programs around the country and through tailored support delivered in your neighbourhood. Our support can be delivered with a specific focus on sustainability.
Study ToursAttend one of our Homes Study Tours to experience inspiring examples of homes and meet the communities who developed them. Groups attending these one-day tours visit housing schemes to explore the layout of individual homes and the impact of housing schemes on the local environment and community. Participants move their projects forward through discussion led by architects and Glass-House staff. |

Design TrainingOur two-day Homes by Design courses give groups the design skills, knowledge and confidence to contribute effectively to the design of their housing project. Attending groups work with architects/urban designers and Glass-House staff to develop their existing project through creative hands-on workshops and have the chance to visit inspiring examples of housing projects. |

WorkshopsOur tailored Workshops give you tools, skills and confidence to work effectively with design professionals, the wider community and other stakeholders to develop your housing project. Workshops help you to understand architectural principles, explore what a design brief is and how to develop one or how to engage the community in your design project. |
