The Glass-House is partnering with the Architectural Centre, Bristol   to deliver the Young Spacemakers design training course. This exciting practical design course is for groups of young people aged 14 – 17 who have an idea for a space in their neighbourhood they would like to improve, and who want to explore how they could make a change.
For 2 days young people will work alongside our professional design trainers to build the skills, confidence and creativity they will need to take their project forward.
On this course you will:
Look more closely at your area from an urban design perspective
Visit inspiring projects
Develop your creative skills through model making and drawing
Explore who the other people who might affect your project are and how you can best communicate your ideas to them
Work up an action plan for your project to take back to your neighbourhood
If you are the youth worker or adult responsible for the group please read the Young Spacemakers Youth Briefing
Deadline for Applications is 5th October 2009
